In the Eastern Pacific, (#1) Tropical Storm Andres has winds of 70mph, gusting to 85mph, with a pressure of 990mbars. Movement is Northwest at 8mph. Is expected to dissipate by Friday. Not a threat to land. (#2) Hurricane Blanca has winds of 110mph, gusting to 130mph, with a pressure of 964mbars. Movement is nearly stationary. Is expected to become a major category 3 hurricane by later today then a category 4 major hurricane by Thursday/Friday. Blanca will impact the Southern portion of the Baja California Peninsula as a weakening hurricane late Saturday through Sunday. The Mexican Coastline and the Baja California Peninsula will be impacted by high waves, rough surf, and rip currents. (#3) A low pressure area could form over the weekend a few hundred miles South of the coasts of El Salvador and Guatemala. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for subsequent slow development of the system while it moves Northwestward.
