Environmental conditions are expected to become somewhat conducive for development during the next few days while the system remains nearly stationary for the next day or so, and then moves Northward at 5 to 10mph by Wednesday. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has given this system a Low chance, 20%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours, and a Low chance, 30%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 5 days. In the Eastern Pacific, (#1) Hurricane Linda has winds of 90mph, gusting to 115mph, with a pressure of 975mbars. Movement is North-Northwest at 10mph. Is expected to weaken to a tropical storm by tomorrow as it passes just West of the Baja California Peninsula, but will not have a direct impact on land.
