North MS Local Forecast: Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 47 and it feels like 46. Highs will continue to range between 58 and 69 with lows between 37 and 44. There is a slight chance of rain today, a 100% chance of heavy rain on Wednesday, a 60% chance of showers next Tuesday, and a 50% chance of AM showers next Wednesday. Winds tomorrow will be out of the Southeast at 15-25mph with gusts to 35mph. Significant severe weather outbreak is possible late tomorrow evening through early Wednesday morning. Main threats: large hail, widespread damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, heavy rainfall of 2-4 inches with locally higher amounts, and flash flooding. Dr. Greg Forbes, severe weather expert at The Weather Channel, is giving MS a TOR:CON (Tornado Condition Index) of 3 for tomorrow. This means there is a 30% chance of seeing a tornado within 50 miles of a given point. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 48 and it feels like 46. Todays high is 70 and a low of 59 with a slight chance of rain. Tuesdays high is 73 with a slight chance of rain with Southeast winds at 20-30mph with gusts to 40mph.

In the Eastern Pacific, (#1) An elongated area of low pressure located about 1100 miles West-Southwest of the Southern Tip of the Baja California Peninsula continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Development, if any, of this system should be slow to occur while it drifts Southwestward during the next few days. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is giving this system a Low chance, 10%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours, and a Low chance, 20%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 5 days. In the Central Pacific, no development is expected over the next 5 days. In the Western Pacific, no development is expected over the next 5 days. Temperatures will range between normal to slightly below normal. May see one to two more tropical threats going through mid to late November.
